All of the Plumexperts team members are language experts and university graduates with more than 15 years of experience in communications. Intensely aware of the evolution of spelling and grammar, they are also on top of current trends and practices in the field of typography.



   Katy Melançon

Katy holds a BA in communications from the Université du Québec and a CEGEP diploma in modern languages. A copywriter for more than fifteen years, she has worked primarily in marketing and advertising for the past five years on numerous national and international accounts. Known for her innate understanding of brands and target audiences, Katy has developed, written and adapted many marketing and interactive campaigns.

Brigitte Blanchard

Brigitte Blanchard is a freelance proofreader who has worked full-time since 2005. Her clients come from diverse backgrounds: veterinarians, chocolate makers, exhibition promoters, printers, writers. Brigitte has taught various writing and communication courses at the University of Sherbrooke. She also holds a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in French studies, including a concentration in copywriting and communications.

  Rich Hammond

As a freelancer, Rich Hammond draws from more than twenty years of communications experience in a wide variety of disciplines. From public relations writing for numerous municipalities and professional organizations to marketing creative for national accounts in telecommunications, insurance and banking, pharmaceuticals, food, fashion and more, his expertise and knowledge is invaluable. In addition to writing for magazines, television and film, Rich also teaches Writing for Advertising and Public Relations at the University of Sherbrooke.

  Annie Gravier

With 20 years of communications and media relations experience, Annie Gravier has held management positions with a number of large companies in Ontario and Quebec. Perfectly bilingual, her talents as an editor and translator led her to become a writer in 2006. Her series of bestselling novels Le monde merveilleux d'Anouchka (The Wonderful World of Anouchka), published by Éditions Hurtubise HMH, has been a big success in Quebec (www.anouchka.ca). Annie’s great creativity and talent for languages help in creating content for our clients.

Marie Auclair

Marie Auclair received her Ph.D. in literary studies in 2001, and has worked as a literary advisor to professional writers for 6 years. She taught literature and drama at various universities for 10 years. An editor for the past 7 years, her watchwords are: clarity, accuracy and efficiency. She is experienced at proofing technical texts to ensure the quality of the language and that the message is communicated in an optimal manner.
